Itinerary

    ... beautiful beaches of Durban; the stunning scenery of the Garden Route including Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Wilderness; Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital; and Cape Town, South Africa’s most vibrant and exciting city. As additional options, choose to visit Victoria Falls before the tour – a magnifi cent wonder of Southern Africa, or travel on the luxurious Rovos Rail from Cape Town to Pretoria at the end of the tour, or upgrade to a private game lodge while in the Kruger National Park. A real treat!

  • Day 1, Sun: Johannesburg

    On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

  • Day 2, Mon: Johannesburg – Mpumalanga

    Travel to Mpumalanga via the scenic Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window. 

  • Day 3, Tue: Mpumalanga – Kruger National Park – Mpumalanga

    Early morning game drive in the world famous Kruger National Park with a prepacked breakfast. Search for the Big Five and enjoy the prolific birdlife and other wildlife. This afternoon is at leisure. Optional late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives are available (extra cost). 

  • Day 4, Wed: Mpumalanga – Kruger National Park – Mpumalanga

    Early morning coffee or tea, followed by an open vehicle game drive through Kruger National Park with a pre-packed breakfast. This afternoon depart for the community visit to the Amazing Grace Children’s Home in the town of Malelane. Optional late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives are available (extra cost). 

  • Day 5, Thu: Mpumalanga – Swaziland

    After an early breakfast, travel through the beautiful countryside of the Kingdom of Swaziland. Visit a glass factory en-route. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, with the opportunity to visit a Swazi candle factory. 

  • Day 6, Fri: Swaziland – Zululand

    After breakfast, re-enter South Africa. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Travel to Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region.

  • Day 7, Sat: Zululand – Durban

    After breakfast, travel to a traditional Zulu village for lunch and a show displaying the local culture. 

  • Day 8, Sun: Durban (Unescorted)Day at leisure in Durban.

    There will be an opportunity to take a day excursion (extra cost).

  • Day 9, Mon: Durban – Port Elizabeth. Fly from Durban to Port Elizabeth.

    On arrival, transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. 

  • Day 10, Tue: Port Elizabeth – Knysna

    Depart for the Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. Continue to Knysna. This afternoon explore the area at your leisure.

  • Day 11, Wed: Knysna

    This morning enjoy a lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, take a trailer ride to the top of Western Head, and walk back through the milkwood trees for lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure. 

  • Day 12, Thu: Knysna – Oudtshoorn

    Travel over the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Visit an ostrich farm and tour the vast limestone Cango Caves. 

  • Day 13, Fri: Oudtshoorn – Cape Town

    After breakfast, take Route 62 via the Little Karoo and Montagu to Cape Town. Community visit en-route to a farm school in the Barrydale area, arriving late afternoon. Day 14 & 15, Sat & Sun: Cape Town (Unescorted).Two days at leisure. Optional sightseeing activities include Table Mountain, Cape Peninsula and the Winelands area (extra cost).

  • Day 16, Mon: Cape Town

    Transfer to the airport for your flights home.
