Pretoria to Victoria Falls or v.v.
A three day journey from Pretoria through varied and truly African landscape, offering passengers a unique opportunity to experience scenery so characteristic of this low-lying area to end at the spectacular Victoria Falls.
This special journey departs in the morning and slowly meanders westwards through Mafikeng into
Botswana and then north towards Mahalapye, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn just after Gaborone. Once
the train has passed through the dry reaches of Botswana we arrive at Plumtree in the late afternoon for
border formalities with Zimbabwe.
We continue in a north-westerly direction passing Bulawayo heading towards Thompson’s Junction and
Hwange Game Reserve.
Journeys end is the incomparable Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River.

The train departs from Rovos Rail’s
private station in Capital Park.
Lunch is served en route to Zeerust.
Dinner is served as the train heads
towards Mafikeng.

Rovos Rail
Rovos Rail has two trains of 20 painstakingly restored coaches, half of which date back to the twenties and thirties. Each train can accommodate up to 72 passengers in 36 superbly appointed suites.

Accommodation
Royal Suites fill half a carriage at 16 square metres and additionally include full bathrooms with Victorian bath and separate shower.
Deluxe Suites occupy 11 square metres with three to a carriage and include en-suite bathroom.
Pullman Suites are seven square metres with five to a carriage and include en-suite bathroom.
