Itinerary

Rhino Walking Safaris offers exclusive use of 12,000 hectares of pristine bushveld in the only offi cial wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. The concession is an environmentally sensitive area, offering a great diversity of both fauna and fl ora and ideally placed for walking safaris in an offi cially declared Big Five wilderness area. Rhino Walking Safaris have no more than eight guests and are accompanied by two armed trail guides. A new concept on offer for the fi rst time in Kruger National Park is the sleep-out. A highly unique experience!.

• Day 1: Kruger National Park

  Arrive at Rhino Post Safari Lodge. Late afternoon game drive.

• Day 2: Kruger National Park

  Morning walk following rhino trails and elephant paths before transferring to Plains Camp. Time at the lodge to relax. Sundowners and evening game drive.   

• Day 3: Kruger National Park

  Early morning wake-up and set off on walking trails in the proximity of the camp. Afternoon return to Plains Camp.   

• Day 4: Kruger National Park

  Return to Rhino Post Safari Lodge, where your safari ends.  

   Accommodation:

  The four night safari includes two nights each at Rhino Post Safari Lodge and Plains Camp. The sleep-out option can be exchanged for one night at Plains Camp and is available on request. Sleep-outs can also be arranged from Rhino Post Safari Lode but subject to a minimum of four people.

• Rhino Post Safari Lodge

  Set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed, the lodge is built of stone, wood, thatch and canvas. The eight suites feature an en-suite bathroom, private deck, mini-bar and overhead fan. The lodge has a pool, bar and lounge and wine cellar.

• Plains Camp

  Situated in the heart of the concession, Plains Camp was built in authentic pioneer tradition. It offers four furnished African explorer tents with en-suite facilities, overhead fans and 24 hour lighting. The camp has a pool, lounge and dining area.

   During tour option:

• Sleep-out Option

  The sleep-out option is an unrivalled wilderness experience. Located in the bush on four metre high elevated wooden platforms which can accommodate eight people with two armed rangers. They have two bathrooms with hot shower and fl ushing toilets.
