Between the Drakensberg Mountains and the Kruger National Park on the banks of the Makutsi River, lies Makutsi Safari Springs. It is raw African bush enjoyed by people who appreciate the peace and serenity of nature.

Itinerary

Palms, acacias and bushveld; elephant, rhino, giraffe, lion, cheetah, leopard, crocodile and more. Soft thermal-mineral water bubbles from two hot springs, nestling among indigenous trees. The food is a healthy variety of venison specialties, home grown vegetables and home bred beef.

  • Day 1: Hoedspruit/Phalabowra – Makutsi

    Transfer from Hoedspruit or Phalabowra airport to Makutsi.

  • Day 2: Makutsi Safari Springs

    Early morning game drive in open Land Rover. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive returning at sunset.  

  • Day 3: Kruger National Park

    Full day’s game viewing in Kruger National Park.  

  • Day 4: Drakensburg Mountains and Blyde River Canyon

    Depart for a full day of sightseeing of the Drakensburg Mountains and Blyde River Canyon. Opportunity to shop for curios.  

  • Day 5: Tribal Village And Makutsi Rain Forest

    After breakfast visit the nearby Shangaan and Sotho villages to learn about the traditional culture. Afterwards enjoy a walk and bush picnic.  

  • Day 6: Makutsi Safari Springs

    Enjoy one more game drive in the morning or afternoon and the rest of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 7: Makutsi – Hoedspruit/Phalabowra

    Transfer to Hoedspruit or Phalabowra.
