Visit the fascinating National Park of Andasibe, known for its population of the largest species of lemur – the Indri Indri, and observe the eastern mountain rainforest area.
Drive to Andasibe through the green and luxuriant vegetation of the east. En-route stop at a reptile farm, finally arriving at Andasibe in the late afternoon. Visit Lemur Island in the Vakona Private Park and enjoy a night walk to observe night active lemurs and other nocturnal animals. Overnight at the Vakona Forest Lodge.
The Andasibe Reserve includes two protected areas - the Perinet Special Reserve and Mantadia National Park. After breakfast, walk through the Perinet Reserve and hear the Indri Indri, Madagascar’s largest lemur, singing. Next explore the Mantadia Reserve searching for lemurs, birds, chameleons and plant life endemic to this area.
After breakfast, return to Antananarivo.
