Visit the fascinating National Park of Andasibe, known for its population of the largest species of lemur – the Indri Indri, and observe the eastern mountain rainforest area.
Drive to Andasibe through the green and luxuriant vegetation of the east. En-route stop at a reptile farm, finally arriving at Andasibe in the late afternoon. Visit Lemur Island in the Vakona Private Park and enjoy a night walk to observe night active lemurs and other nocturnal animals. Overnight at the Vakona Forest Lodge.
After breakfast, take a morning visit to the Special Reserve of Andasibe, to discover the many species dwelling in the forest. In particular, your guide will search for the Indri Indri, the largest lemurs on the island. This 810 hectare reserve is unique with its endemic fauna and flora. It contains a wide variety of orchids, canopy, and endemic animals like chameleons, tenrecs, and many birds.
After breakfast, return to Antananarivo.
