Itinerary

• Day 1: Cairo

  Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.

• Day 2: Cairo

  Enjoy a full day tour of the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, the Egyptian Museum – with over 100,000 artifacts - and shop at the old bazaar at Khan El Khalili.

• Day 3: Cairo – Aswan

  Fly to Aswan and join your Nile cruise, sailing to Luxor. After settling in and lunch aboard, take an afternoon tour by felucca around Elephantine Island, the beautiful Botanical Garden and Aga Khan Mausoleum. Return to the cruise ship for your first night onboard at Aswan.

• Day 4: Aswan – Edfu

  Begin the day’s touring with a visit around Aswan’s main attractions, including the impressive High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk monument and the Temple of Philae. Set sail downstream to the agricultural town of Kom Ombo. After disembarking visit the ancient Temple of Kom Ombo, two temples in perfect symmetry. Return onboard and sail to the welcoming town of Edfu where the ship will dock for the night.

• Day 5: Edfu – Luxor

  This morning visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus. Over 2000 years old, this is one of the best preserved temples in the country. Return to the ship and sail onwards to Esna. Here, all boats going both up and down stream must pass through this lock, two boats at a time. After gaining passage through the Esna Lock, the journey continues to Luxor, one of Egypt’s most famous cities and a must see on any traveller’s itinerary. Dock here for the night.

• Day 6: Luxor – Hurghada

  Disembark the cruise ship and proceed with visits to the West Bank, including the two gigantic statues at the Colossi of Memnon, the fascinating Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the dramatic scenery of the Valley of the Kings. After touring, transfer by coach to Hurghada and check-in to your hotel.

• Day 7 & 8: Hurghada

  Enjoy two days at leisure soaking up the beautiful Red Sea scenery.

• Day 9: Hurghada – Cairo

  Relaxed and refreshed, transfer to Hurghada airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival, enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour, taking in Coptic Cairo, including visits to the historical Ben Ezra Synagogue, the ancient Basilican Hanging Church and the enlightening Coptic Museum.

• Day 10: Cairo

  Transfer to the airport.
