Day 1: Cairo - Sarabit El-Khardern
On Journey today to Abu Znema, passing through the Suez Canal tunnel and the holy town of Ayoun Moussa, and change vehicles to a 4WD at Abu Znema. Continue to Sarabit El- Khardern, the only ancient Egyptian temple in a remote area of the Sinai Desert. Climb Sarabit Mountain 755 m, around an hour and a half to reach Hathor Temple. The temple was built in homage to Hathor, the Lady of Turquoise, in the 12th dynasty and juxtaposes a number of turquoise mining caves that were used in ancient times. After exploring this recently-restored historical site, return to Sarabit El-Kharden and settle into your basic camp accommodation for the night.

Day 2: Sarabit El-Khadern - St.Catherines
Continue into the Sinai Peninsula to St Catherine’s Village. En-route visit the tomb of Sheikh Habos, a site of great significance to the Bedouin people and to the Forest of the Pillars with stunning rock formations. After a picnic lunch, travel onwards to Wadi Mukattab, the Valley of the Inscriptions with three km of ancient writing carved into the rock. Next, stop by Wadi Feiran, the Sinai’s largest wadi with noted biblical lore. Conclude your day of touring with an evening arrival into St Catherine’s

Day 3: St. Catherines
Rise early this morning to start your climb of Mt. Sinai to view the majestic sunrise. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then journey out to St Catherine’s Monastery for a guided tour. This ancient building is said to have been built around Moses’ Burning Bush and is home to a number of antiquities, including manuscripts and religious icons. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 4: St. Catherine - Cairo
Return to Cairo by road.
