On arrival collect your rental car and drive to your hotel. Overnight at the Juliette Dodu.

Day 2: St Denis – Salazie
After breakfast, drive to the Cirque de Salazie. Explore this lush paradise with its Creole charm. Overnight at Relais des Crimes in Hellbourg. B

Day 3: Salazie – the Volcano – Plaine des Cafres
Drive to the Piton de la Fournais, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Overnight at L’Ecrin in Bourg Morat. B

Day 4: Plaine des Cafres – Saint Pierre
Continue to the wild south. Look out for the lava on the road and visit the Perfume and Spice Garden. Overnight at Domaine des Pierres. B

Day 5: Saint Pierre – Saint Gilles
Travel via St Louis to the mountain resort of Cilaos or head straight to the beach for some rest and relaxation. Overnight at L’Alamanda in St Gilles les Bains. B
