Day 1: St Denis
On arrival collect your rental car and drive to your hotel. Overnight at the Juliette Dodu.

Day 2: St Denis – Salazie
After breakfast, drive to the Cirque de Salazie. Visit Masion Folio, one of the region's loveliest Creole houses. Overnight at Relais des Crimes in Hellbourg. B

Day 3: Salazie – the Volcano – Plaines de Cafres
Drive to the Volcano of Piton de la Fournais. Stop to admire the scenery along the way and visit Volcano House. Overnight at L’Ecrin in Bourg Morat. B

Day 4-5: Plains de Cafres – Saint Pierre
Discover the Bebour-Belouve Forest and its walking trails. Drive down the east coast to St Pierre. Visit the Perfume and Spice Garden. Spend two nights at Domaine des Pierres. B

Day 6: Saint Pierre – Cilaos
Take the scenic road to Cilaos dominated by the sleeping volcano Piton des Neiges. Enjoy the viewpoints, walks and sporting activities on offer here. Overnight at Vieux Cep. B

Day 7: Cilaos – Saint Gilles
Continue to the west coast. Perhaps stop at the Stella Matutina Museum to learn of the agricultural and industrial history of Reunion. Overnight at Nautile Beachfront Hotel. B

Day 8: Saint Gilles – Piton Maido – Saint Gilles
Early morning drive to Piton Maido for a spectacular view of the Cirque de Mafate which is only accessible by foot or helicopter. Return to St Gilles. B

Return your car to the airport. B
