Day 1

Dar Es Salaam

Transfer to Dar es Salaam Airport and board the scheduled flight to Siwandu Airstrip in Selous Game Reserve. Here you will be met by your driver/guide and have the opportunity to enjoy your first game drive on the way to the camp. Spend three unforgettable nights in this spectacular camp with delicious dining, cooling swimming pools and unforgettable tents with spacious verandahs overlooking the lake and outdoor stargazer showers. Take full advantage of viewing the abundant wildlife, either by boat, exploring the watery byways by weaving amongst the pods of hippo and crocodile lining the bank, or discover the landscape in open-sided 4WD vehicles, or wake early and venture into Africa’s largest wilderness on a foot, learn about the complex ecosystem that it embraces, encounter the thrills and be enthralled at the wonder of being at the heart of nature. Day 2

Siwandu, Selous game reserve

Selous is Africa’s largest game reserve, the size of Switzerland, and one of the last great wilderness areas on the continent with a diverse range of animals. Expect to see plenty of plains game and the major African mammals, including elephant, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, lions, leopard as well as wild dog, as Selous is home to the world’s largest population of these endangered species. Jongomero, Ruaha National Park

Wake up to early morning tea or coffee in your sumptuous tent and look forward to another wonderful day exploring Ruaha National Park. Discover the wild, undulating, riverines and woodlands of Ruaha with experienced FGASA qualified guides by four seater 4WD vehicles or on game walks, which are an absolute must - navigate the dry river beds and listen to your expert guide tell you fascinating and often bizarre stories of the local flora, fauna, insects, birds and animals.
