Colombo - Negombo

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Negombo - Anuradhapura

Head north this morning to Chilaw and visit the busy fish market. Afterwards, proceed to Wilpattu National Park for the chance to spot elephant, sloth bear, spotted deer and more. After your safari, continue to Anuradhapura.(B)(L)

Day 3

Anuradhapura - Sigiriya

Explore the ruins of Anuradhapura. Proceed to Sigiriya to climb the rocky outcrop. (B)

Day 4

Sigiriya

Visit Hiriwaduna to see local village life on a scenic three hour walk. Learn of the local farming practices and help to prepare a simple meal. Afterwards, continue through dense forests, keeping an eye out for bird life and wildlife. Continue by car to Polonnaruwa and cycle amidst the ruins. (B)(L)

Sigiriya - Kandy

Tour Dambulla’s famed Royal Rock Temple before travelling to Kandy. This evening explore the city on a walking tour. (B)

Kandy

This morning’s cooking experience is at The Kandyan Manor. Start the morning with a visit to the local market before creating Sri Lankan specialty dishes. In the afternoon tour Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. (B)(L)

Day 7

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Travel via lush green hills covered with tea to Nuwara Eliya, en route visiting a tea plantation. Indulge in a high tea this afternoon at the hotel. (B)

Nuwara Eliya - Ella

Travel on to picturesque Ella. Enjoy a cooking class at the Ella Spice Garden and prepare a traditional Sri Lankan curry. (B)(L)

Ella - Uda Walawe National Park

Take a slow train journey from Ella down to Haputale and then continue by road to Uda Walawe. The national park is one of the best places to observe elephants in their natural habitat. (B)

Uda Walawe National Park - Galle

Travel the coastal route to Galle stopping en route at Uda Walawe Elephant Transfer Home. (B)

Day 12

Galle

Enjoy a walking and culinary experience through the colonial Dutch town of Galle. Learn the secrets of Fort food and sample the best of Sri Lankan street food. (B)

A day at leisure to explore Galle. (B)

Day 14

Galle - Mount Lavinia

En route to Mount Lavinia, stop at Ambalangoda to visit a Tukkawadu mask factory. Try your hand at carving your own mask. Afterwards continue to Colombo city for a walking tour away from the typical tourist spots. (B)

Colombo

Transfer to Colombo Airport for your flight home. (B)
