Travel by road to Kandalama. En route visit the impressive Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla. (B)
This morning, climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress and in the afternoon visit Polonnaruwa, the island’s medieval capital. (B)
Depart for Kandy. En route stop at Matale and visit a spice garden. This afternoon, explore the small lakeside town of Kandy. In the evening see a cultural show. (B)
Drive to Hatton. Your stay for the next two nights is at the world’s first tea bungalow resort. This luxury resort comprises of four colonial-era tea planters’ bungalows which are connected by walking trails through the beautiful gardens. (B)(L)(D)
