Start your journey in the western resort community of Jackson. Jackson’s town square features four arched entrances, made from elk antlers shed in the nearby National Elk Refuge. In the winter, the refuge is home to thousands of elk, and visitors can choose to take a sleigh ride amongst the wildlife.
Take a scenic transfer through Grand Teton National Park to the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park. During the winter months, southern access to the park is only by snow coach or snowmobile. The snow coach will climb to scenic overlooks of the Lewis River Canyon and cross the Continental Divide as you continue to the West Thumb Thermal Basin. Continue through the pine forest and on to the remote wilderness of Old Faithful Snow Lodge. The lodge is situated at the edge of one of the largest thermal basins in the park and an easy walk to famed Old Faithful Geyser.
In winter, Old Faithful Snow Lodge offers a truly unique experience. From this snowy haven, you can set out on a variety ofexplorations, either on your own or on aguided adventure. Take a wildlife safari, a snowshoe tour, hike the boardwalk through the thermal basin, explore cross-country ski trails or join a snow coach adventure to the frozen Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Enjoy the wilderness and wild animals that you will find in this remote region of the American West. In the evenings, relax in the lounge with a hot beverage as the snow falls outside.

Take the snow coach and shuttle back through the parks to Jackson. Arriving midafternoon gives you the rest of the day to explore this laid back community or relax at the lodge. This evening, visit the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a true taste of the Wild West. Famous for its cowboy flare complete with genuine saddle barstools, the bar offers western dancing and live entertainment.
The next two days will be full of winter adventure in Grand Teton National Park. One of the highlights of any winter wonderland themed adventure is the opportunity to try dog sledding. Feel the wind whip through your hair as you mush a team of dogs through the spectacular snowy landscapes. The enthusiasm of the dogs is infectious, as they love getting out to run through the trails. Another iconic winter activity awaits, as you travel out of town for a day of snowmobiling. The location and terrain will depend on the day of the adventure but they all offer the beautiful scenery of the Grand Teton Mountains. In the evenings be sure to experience some of the excellent restaurants within easy walk of the town square, followed by entertainment at the Silver Dollar Bar or return to the Cowboy Bar for some more line dancing.
