Drive north to Vancouver, Canada’s spectacular western gateway. Discover this picturesque city this afternoon. We suggest renting a bike to tour Stanley Park or checking out Flyover Canada as you explore the waterfront.
A full day at leisure to experience all that Vancouver has to offer. Join a North Shore tour to check out Capilano Suspension Bridge, visit Granville Island or take a day trip to Victoria.
Follow the path of the prospectors up the Fraser River Canyon to the Cariboo region and continue your journey through the interior of British Columbia to the rugged town of Kamloops.
Continue north, where the beauty of Western Canada’s wilderness is apparent in the Monashee Mountains. Travel by Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, before reaching Jasper National Park.
The Icefields Parkway runs along the ridge of the Rockies. See the Columbia Icefield, the largest body of ice south of the Arctic Circle. Visit Lake Louise before arriving in Banff.
You will have time to explore Banff before continuing through the Bow River Valley to Calgary late this afternoon
Drive south to beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park which shares the international boundary with Montana’s Glacier National Park. This geological wonderland encompasses 2500 square kilometres of Rocky Mountain peaks, offering spectacular vistas at every twist of the road. Drive the Going-to-the-Sun Road before continuing to Kalispell.
Travel past Flathead Lake and cross the Continental Divide through the Big Sky country of western Montana. Yellowstone, America’s first National Park, is today’s destination.
Explore the fascinating features of this park whilst keeping watch for its wildlife. See the dramatic peaks of the Grand Teton range as you drive to the rustic town of Jackson.
Visit the lunar landscape of Craters of the Moon National Monument, which boasts one of the nation’s highest concentrations of volcanic features. Continue to the awe-inspiring cascade of Shoshone Falls, called the Niagara of the West.
Drive through the vast Boise National Forest, where a segment of the historic Oregon Trail can be seen. Continue to Boise, the City of Trees, and on to Pendleton, home of the yearly Pendleton Round-Up Rodeo.
Continue north west to Yakima. This important agricultural region produces apples, cherries, pears, peaches and apricots for markets around the world. Continue to Mount Rainier National Park, an ice-clad extinct volcano towering above its surroundings.
Return to Seattle with time for last minute shopping or discover the Explore Music Project Museum, a leading-edge, non-profit museum dedicated to the ideas and risk-taking that fuel contemporary popular culture.
