Today discover the best of colonial and modern Lima. (B)

Day 3

Lima - Cuzco

Today fly to Cuzco. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure so that you can acclimatise to the altitude. (B)

Day 4

Cuzco

Today, discover the city of Cuzco, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and possessor of a style all its own. The stones that make up its walls and streets radiate a magical energy and speak of its grand past. Visit Korikancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main centre for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over this temple’s foundations, the Church of Santo Domingo, which still stands today. Visit the Main Square, upon which sits the Cathedral, the beautiful Church of La Compañia de Jesus (Society of Christ), and other colonial period buildings. Continue your adventure at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking the city of Cuzco. On the outskirts of the city are three archaeological sites: Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and Tambomachay, important religious and administrative centres for the Incas that resonate with the power of their past glory. Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Travel by road into the Sacred Valley to visit the famous market of Pisac and the Incan ruins of Ollantaytambo. (B)(L)(D)

Day 6

Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Today you will enjoy an unforgettable train journey to Machu Picchu. Considered a crowning glory of the Inca civilisation and one of the most stunning archaeological sites anywhere in the world, Machu Picchu sits atop a mountain ridge overlooking the sacred Urubamba Valley. Join a guided visit of the lost citadel of the Incas. You will spend the night in the enchanting town of Aguas Calientes. (B)(L)(D)

Day 7

Machu Picchu - Cuzco

The morning is at your leisure to explore the legendary ruins of Machu Picchu on your own. This afternoon board the train back to Cuzco. (B)

Day 8

Cuzco - Lima - Buenos Aires

Fly to Buenos Aires via Lima and transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 9

Buenos Aires

Spend some time exploring the city known as the Paris of the South. Visit the Plaza de Mayo and the colourful quarter of La Boca. In the evening taste some of the best Argentinian cuisine and be absorbed by the tango rhythm at a show. (B)(D)

Day 10

Buenos Aires

Visit an Estancia in the outskirts of the city. (B)

Day 11

Buenos Aires - Iguazu Falls

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Iguazu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel located on the Argentinian side of the falls. (B)

Iguazu Falls

Explore the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Marvel at the grand views of the 275 falls by walking along the paths offering spectacular panoramic views. (B)

Day 13

Iguazu Falls - Rio de Janeiro

This morning visit the Brazilian side of the falls before transferring to the airport for your onward flight to Rio de Janeiro. (B)

Day 14

Rio de Janeiro

Explore Rio’s four iconic highlights in an open jeep ride and immerse yourself in this magnificent city visiting Tijuca Forest, Corcovado, Sugarloaf and the Botanic Gardens (B)

Day 15

Rio de Janeiro

Discover one of the largest favela’s in Latin America with around 150,000 inhabitants. You’ll be able to see, hear and feel the rhythm and beat of the favela, the heart and soul of Brazil. Immerse yourself in the community by visiting local homes and schools and later in the day, head to the headquarters of Rocinha’s samba school. (B)

Day 16

Rio de Janeiro

Your journey ends with a transfer to the airport for your flight. (B)
