Day 1

Arrive in Yellowknife and make your way to your hotel. Take some time to explore the city at leisure. This evening we recommend a visit to NWT Brewing Company for award-winning craft beers.

Day 2

Explore the Northwest Territories’ capital city on a guided tour. Learn about the history of this gold mining town turned diamond capital, the culture of the area’s people and view many of the city’s highlights. Discover spectacular Great Slave Lake on a guided boat tour. Roam past rugged shores and unique houseboat communities and learn about the area’s history. Keep an eye out for birds - four major flyways converge near Yellowknife and birds from all over North & South America spend their summers in the area. There will be plenty of time to participate in optional local activities. Try a fat bike tour, hike to Cameron Falls, fish for pike or explore the local art galleries. From mid-August til early October, choose to add an optional Aurora Borealis viewing tour at a cosy cabin on the lake.
