Later, spend time exploring the Nantucket Whaling Museum or stroll through the brick-lined streets, home to historic clapboard homes and local shops. This evening, cruise to Martha’s Vineyard. Arrive this morning in Newport. An optional tour takes you down spectacular Ocean Drive, past the opulent Gilded Age mansions. See Rosecliff Mansion where the 1974 version of ‘The Great Gatsby’ was filmed and visit The Breakers, once owned by the Vanderbilt family. Or you can tour Newport from the water on a two-hour sail aboard America’s Cup Charters and relax aboard a classic 1968, 12 metre yacht. (B)(L)(D)
Block Island has been named one of The Nature Conservancy’s ‘12 Last Great Places in the Western Hemisphere’. With over 40% of its land dedicated to conservation, the island offers endless beaches and supreme sailing opportunities.
