Day 1
Upon arrival in Quito, transfer to your hotel. Stay in an elegant 16th century boutique hotel located close the Main Square. (B)
Day 2
Visit the old colonial quarter with its narrow cobbled streets. Highlights include Independence Plaza, the Church of La Compania de Jesus and the Church of San Francisco. Conclude with a visit to the Equatorial Monument located 25km north of the city and which marks the exact Middle of the World, latitude 0º, where you can stand with a foot on each hemisphere. (B)
Day 3
Transfer to the airport and fly to Baltra Island. Transfer to the M/Y Coral I for your three-night Galapagos cruise. Afternoon visit to Charles Darwin Research Station. (B)(L)(D)
Day 4
Visit Floreana Island, where you will have the opportunity to hop on a dinghy ride or snorkel. In the afternoon there is time for hiking at Cormorant Point. A small colony of Galapagos penguins reside on Floreana and can sometimes be observed as well. (B)(L)(D)
Day 5
Visit Española Island, one of the oldest in the Galapagos and the most isolated in the archipelago. This, and the great number as well as variety of wildlife found, make this site one of the most attractive in the Galapagos. (B)(L)(D)
Day 6
Circumnavigate the islet of Daphne, an eroded tuff cone formation that was created by successive volcanic activity, for an opportunity to see more wildlife before transferring to the airport for your return flight to the mainland. (B)
Day 7
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. On arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel. (B)
Day 8
Enjoy a sightseeing excursion of colonial and modern Lima. Conclude with lunch at the Larco Herrera Museum’s enchanting restaurant. (B)(D)
Day 9
Transfer to the airport. Fly to Cuzco and transfer by road to the Sacred Valley where you will spend the night. (B)(D)
Day 10
Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting on the Inca's Balcony, a beautiful place with an impressive view of Chinchero ruins and city, where twelves families still preserve their traditional way. Learn their ancestral way in which they process the wool, and obtain those vivid colours for their textiles. Continue onto Moray, an impressing pre-Inca greenhouse. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Conclude the day with a visit to Ollantaytambo Fortress and spend time in the town with its narrow cobblestone streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. (B) (L)
Day 11
Board the train to Aguas Calientes. Travel by bus to reach the entrance of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided tour of this Lost City and lunch in Aguas Calientes. (B)(L)(D)
Day 12
Optional second visit to Machu Picchu to explore on your own. In the afternoon, return by train to Cuzco, arriving in the evening. (B)
Day 13
This afternoon enjoy Cuzco’s amazing colonial centre, an inheritance from its Andean and Hispanic past. Visit two of the city’s famous landmarks Korikancha and the Cathedral. (B)
Day 14
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
