Embark on a journey less-travelled and truly immerse yourself in the pride and culture of the local indigenous First Nations of Quebec. Learn how to cook a Yakwah feast, learn how to make traditional jewellery and visit historical sites. Later in the trip, spend 2 days on your snowmobiles exploring the southern region of Quebec.

After your arrival at Quebec Airport you will be transferred by private car to your downtown hotel (included).
Transfer to Wendake and the Hotel-Musee Premieres Nations where you settle in and tour the Huron-Wendat Museum adjacent to the hotel with a guide. Later in the day, enjoy a welcome Ice Cocktail to the sound of traditional music at the hotel’s ice bar.
Hotel-Musee Premieres Nations is located in the heart of the Wendat lands, approximately 20 minutes north of Quebec City. Its location and hospitality have always made Wendake a crossroads of nations. The hotel offers you an opportunity to experience authentic First Nations culture, knowledge and art of living. The contemporary design combines the natural beauty of stone, leather and wood with a striking architectural concept. Hotel amenities include: La Traite Restaurant inspired by First Nations cuisine, First Nations boutique, Huron-Wendat Museum and Nation Health Spa. (D)
Tour Huron Traditional Site, an authentic recreation of a native village, followed by free time t In the afternoon, elder Andicha to teaches you how make a Wendat necklace. Choose the ornaments and learn their meanings for the Huron- Wendat Nation. The day ends with a «Potence» dinner at La Sagamité Restaurant. Yatista (fire) often called «Potence» has been created to illustrate the importance of fire for the Wendat people who prayed, ate and told stories around the fire. (B)(D)
Fuel your energy at breakfast and you transfer to the snowmobiling where you meet your guide for an introduction before you double up for your 160km ride to Portneuf. You overnight at L’Auberge Roquemont (or similar) where you will also have dinner. (B)(L)(D)
Your day begins with snowmobiling to Duchesnay where you meet your dogsledding guide for an intro to dogsledding and to meet the dogs. After lunch, you depart for your memorable 2 hour dogsledding experience and later continue on the snowmobiles back to Wendake where this fabulous day ends with a three course dinner. (B)(L)(D)
Another day filled with activities begins at the fish smokehouse of the Longhouse where you discover ancestral fish smoking techniques. Later, you visit the Ice Hotel, rebuilt every winter out of ice and snow. Continue on to discover Old Quebec on your own. You return to Wendake in the late afternoon and go back into the Longhouse where you help prepare a ‘Yakwah’ feast which you then eat the fish you smoked in the morning.
The day concludes with the Myths and Legends of the First Nations experience. Next to a fire, a storyteller tells pre-European myths and legends of the Nation. Labrador tea and hot chocolate for the kids will be provided. (B)(D)
You depart for Village Vacances Valcartier in the morning. The village is also known as the biggest winter playground in North America with a giant snow tube, snow rafting, ice karting and much more (admission included, activities at additional cost).
In the afternoon, explore the village, go shopping, visit the museum or relax in the spa before you enjoy your 4-course farewell dinner at La Traite Restaurant. (B)(D)
Your winter experience ends with breakfast at the Hotel-Musee Premieres Nations and your transfer back to Quebec City or Quebec Airport. (B)
