Welcome to Alaska. There will be a pre departure meeting this evening to meet your fellow travellers.
Depart Alaska’s largest city and travel north towards Denali National Park. The breathtaking landscape offers constantly changing panoramic views of distant glaciers. Late this afternoon, there is the option to choose a one-hour glacier flight to Denali.
In the morning head out on a Denali wildlife tour deep into one of the most scenic landscapes in North America. Weather permitting you will get to see majestic Denali, the highest mountain in the U.S.A. With a little luck you will see Denali’s Big Five - wolves, dall sheep, moose, caribou and grizzly bears.
Heading further north the afternoon is free to explore Fairbanks. Perhaps visit the Alaska Dog Mushing Museum or take a sternwheeler cruise on the Chena River.
Travel south pass innumerable lakes and rivers. Beyond the timberline, pass through beautiful tundra scenery and cross the border at Little Gold Creek, the checkpoint with the highest elevation between Canada and the U.S.A.
People still dig for gold in this historic town located where the Klondike flows into the Yukon River. A visit to Bonanza Creek, the Jack London cabin and the Midnight Dome are on the agenda. This evening visit Diamond Tooth Gerties Casino where the cancan dance girls will entertain you.
Start early for the drive up the Dempster Highway, the only connection to the remote town of Inuvik. Discover the Tombstone Mountains and explore the tundra of this mountain range, where every season has its unique attraction.
As you travel to Whitehorse, you will see the Yukon River, one of the longest in North America. Stop to visit the Five Finger Rapids - mighty rapids that posed a threat to the many sternwheelers navigating the Yukon in the past.
Transfer to airport to end your trip.
