Day 1


Arrive in Anchorage and make your way to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this fascinating city.

Day 2

Floatplane to Redoubt Bay Bear Viewing

Enjoy the view as you travel by floatplane to Redoubt Bay Lodge, which is located at the entrance of Lake Clark Wilderness Preserve. Here you will have the opportunity to view black and brown bears in their natural habitat from one of the covered pontoon boats. (L)

Day 3

Anchorage - Girdwood

Admire views of stunning Cook Inlet and the snow-capped peaks of the Chugach Mountains as you travel by coach to Girdwood to begin your Glacier Dog Sled adventure. Take in the beauty of Alaska from the air during the helicopter flight before landing on the glacier where you will have the amazing opportunity to go dog sledding on the glacier! Afterwards continue to the scenic alpine resort of Alyeska and take an aerial tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska for breathtaking views.

Day 4

Girdwood - Seward

Get up close to some of Alaska's iconic wildlife including moose, bison, elk, caribou and bears during a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre, which provides care and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned wildlife, before stopping for spectacular views of Exit Glacier on the way to Seward. Day 5

Northwestern Fjord Cruise

Cruise to magnificent Northwestern Fjord, deep within Kenai Fjords National Park and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, alpine and tidewater glaciers, and abundant marine wildlife including whales, sea lions and sea otters. (B) (L)

Day 6

Seward - Talkeetna

Learn about the history of the area as you travel by coach to Talkeetna.

Day 7

Talkeetna - Denali National Park

Enjoy the scenery pass by as you take the Denali Star train, in the Goldstar Railcar, to Denali National Park. This afternoon opt for optional white water rafting down the Nenana River, hiking, or helicopter flightseeing over the Park. (L)

Day 8

Denali National Park

Look out for bear, moose, caribou and other wildlife as you travel by coach along the restricted Denali Park Road to Denali Backcountry Lodge. At the Lodge, try your luck panning for gold or choose from a range of hikes before returning to the park entrance in a small bush plane.

Day 9

Denali National Park - Fairbanks

Enjoy a free morning at the Denali Park Entrance before boarding the Denali Star train for the trip north to Fairbanks. (D)
