Welcome to Anchorage. It wasn’t long ago that Anchorage was the final outpost before heading into the ‘Last Frontier’. (D)

Day 2

Seward

The Kenai Peninsula offers wonderful wildlife and bird watching opportunities amidst dramatic fjords and glaciers. Hike the spectacular trail from Exit Glacier to the Harding Icefield for views of deep crevasses and huge seracs on the glacier. Enjoy a cruise around Resurrection Bay watching for whales, sea lions, otters, puffins and eagles. Get up close to two active tidewater glaciers and listen for the thunder as chunks of ice fall to the water. (B)

Day 4

Homer

Discover the peacefulness of Kachemak Bay by kayak as bald eagles circle overhead. The premier bear viewing fly-in experience is located in Lake Clark National Park. This rugged area comprises sleeping volcanoes, ice fields, glaciers and an abundance of wildlife. (B)
