Day 3

Denali National Park

Daylight is well and truly on your side in Alaska as summer puts in so many overtime hours this far north, giving you more time to explore this wonderland. Along the way you stop in at Talkeetna for the chance to try some reindeer sausage, before arriving at the awe-inspiring national park for endless views and hiking opportunities. The Denali rangers encourage visitors to get off the beaten track and you'll soon feel like a real explorer as you head out into this vast wilderness. Try and spot the Alaskan `Big Five'; caribou, wolves, Dall Sheep, moose and Grizzly Bears as you hike in the shadows of Mt. McKinley, North America's highest mountain, standing at over 20,320 feet.

Day 4

The scenery just keeps on getting better and better as you take the scenic road along the Alaska Mountain Range. Untended trails, unpaved roads and unending views for the next two days are exactly what you signed up for! As the Wrangell Mountains cast their lengthy shadow, ready yourself for some top-notch glacier action. How about a guided hike on the Kennecott Glacier, or for a more vertical challenge, grab an axe for a spot of ice-climbing on Root Glacier. Finally, with pockets full of postcards and memories we're back from the wilderness and into civilisation. Anchorage is a city that has it all, heaps of local walking trails, shops aplenty and a great bar and restaurant scene. Your tour comes to an end here at Anchorage.
